Dr Andy Clempson
Andy joined the AMRC in October 2013 as a Research Policy Manager, a new role where he will explore the implications of policy on research and how this might affect medical research charities. Following his undergraduate degree in Human Biology, Andy completed a PhD in genetics in 2010. He then moved into the charity sector, joining Tourettes Action in 2011 where he worked as a Research Manager. He moved to Cancer Research UK in 2012 and gained experience in managing funding committees, overseeing peer review and the grant giving process. Andy is really keen to hear from you about how the issues facing Research Managers. He is currently looking at the importance of working with industry as well as the concordat to support research integrity.
